I am not a man of words http://www.twmphotography.com/blog/2015/7/my-blog-isnt-about-words I break camera owners into 3 general categories.  There is the Gearophile, Cameraphile, and Photographer. The Gearophile is a gadget geek who strives to get the latest and greatest imaging product he or she can get her hands on.   The Cameraphile is the person with the selfie stick and derives great pleasure from imaging themselves, often to overindulgent excess.  Now the the Photographer, that is what I find myself to be.  I have absolutely no interest in propagating myself beyond my work. I don't care too much these days about the camera (excepting where livelihood is concerned) and I find it abhorrent to have more than one image of oneself on any social network. I am not here to judge what others do with their cameras, because that is their god-given right.

Rather, since I find myself so quiet these days, I decided to speak up and introducing myself as the guy behind all these images.  Perhaps you may find my images interesting and want to be friends.  May we have a future conversation of imagery.

Thumbtack http://www.twmphotography.com/blog/2014/8/thumbtack Thumbtack is a great resource for the budding photographer.   The bid prices are expensive and not oftentimes worth it,

but I have been able to pack my schedules using the service.

Joining Thumbtack a Photographer's salvation? Part A http://www.twmphotography.com/blog/2014/5/joined-thumbtack-today Going solo as a professional photographer has been a huge hurdle to overcome.  Prior to my now freelance days, my life consisted of daily bookings from a professional wedding company on Guam.  With Guam, being a  tourist market this meant destination wedding bookings happening 1, 2 even 3 or incredibly 4 a day!  While these shoots were very formal and pre-posed shoots and extremely frenetic, there was the backing of makeup artists, costumers, hairdressers, drivers, etc.   It was exhausting, but meant a  constant revenue source.

While I'm not looking to get back into that,  I need to strike a healthy medium between stressed out working, and stressed out with no steady income source.  There's a point when a hungry man will eat anything, well almost anything.

Here's my Thumbtack Page:

In any case, I'll feed you more of my Thumbtack mis-adventures, as I go along.

Beauty be thy name, photos be my game http://www.twmphotography.com/blog/2013/8/beauty-be-thy-name-photos-be-my-game

It took me three hours to get set up for the shoot. Three hours of careful preparation to be ready for her. Only to have her walk in and let me shoot for a mere four minutes and thirteen seconds. I know the precise time because among my preparations was planning, down to the minute, the different themes and backdrops we were going to use. But as soon as she came it that was all out the window. Despite this I was able to capture some amazing images. And the reason for that was something she said to me the minute she walked through the doors.

Succulent snaps http://www.twmphotography.com/blog/2013/8/succulent-snaps _AHS0133_AHS0133 People like to take photos of their food—I get it. But a pic of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich isn’t exactly on the same level as lobster thermidor. Trust me, I was a chef for 12 years (which is how I began taking photos of food in the first place) and can tell you that not only what the photo is of, but also how it is plated, makes a big difference in the quality of the image. With that in mind I began dreaming up what the most exotic food image might be. At first I was thinking blowfish (or fugu in Japanese), but then I saw the ugly critter and changed my mind.
